I felt the Holy Spirit.

Trayton.  You are an amazing child.  Tonight after I put you to bed I heard you crying.  Sobbing.  I sighed.  What's wrong now?  I came back to your bed.  You reached out to me and said, "I felt the Holy Spirit."  I was completely caught off guard.  My exasperation melted and I reached out and held your hand.  "Mom, I love my family so much...My brother.  My sisters.  I just love them and I felt the Spirit."  I tried to explain how grateful I am for the temple.  Because of the temple we can be a family forever.  I am so thankful for you Trayton.  Your brother and sisters are lucky to have you as their elder brother.  Never change.  I love you.  I'm glad you are mine forever.

Kade

Kade, You are chaos.  Your impish grin gets you both in and out of trouble.  You make me laugh out loud and want to pull my hair out instantaneously.  When I drop you off at school you insist that I hug you twice before I leave and then you turn me around and literally shove me out the door.  You woke up this morning, snuck out to the kitchen and attacked me.  Boy did I jump.  You thought it was hilarious.  A great way to start your special day.  This morning we baked your cake.  Optimus Prime.  I wanted to help you decorate it. You said no.
At one point you slipped on the chair you were standing on and fell into the cake.  You didn't smash it too much but got covered in icing.

Jordynn thought I was taking too many pictures of you.  She asked me to take a picture of her and struck this pose (among others).

I put trick candles on your cake. You thought it was hilarious and loved trying to blow them out.

Looking good Kade.
Your favorite gift was the scooter you've been asking about for weeks.  You were so excited to see that you now own the scooter you've been eying for so long.  I'm so glad I got to share that joy with you.  Kade, I love you so much.  You always tell me that I didn't make you, Heavenly Father did.  And you're right.  Heavenly Father created a miracle when he made you and I feel so blessed that he let me be your mom.  Happy Birthday Kade!

Can you see them?

Can you see them?  There are two of them.  Look closely.  Braelynn cut her first tooth on September 20th and the second one came shortly after that.  She wasn't even 5 months old and had TWO teeth.  I wasn't exactly thrilled to see each tooth appear but there is little that can be done to stop them.  She didn't get fussy.  Her gums were never red or swollen.  I had no idea she was teething until she used my hand as a chew toy and I could actually feel the tooth that had cut through.  Braelynn is growing up too fast.  She can roll over (both ways) like a pro now.  She thinks Jordynn is hilarious as long as Jordynn doesn't hold her.  She loves all the attention her two older brothers give her.  She's completely spoiled and we love it!

Soccer Season

My favorite part of soccer season is when its over.  It's a good thing the boys LOVE it so very much.  It might not have been so crazy if the boys had been on the same team but Trayton turned 6 right before we signed them up so he was in a different league all together.  Our week was full of soccer.  Monday, Wednesday, and Friday we had soccer practices. (Two practices on Wednesday=drop Kade off at one field at 5, drop Trayton off at a different field across town at 530, pick Kade up at 6, pick Trayton up at 630, try to have Jonathan fed before scouts at 7. Whew.) Saturday was game day.  So for two hours we would be at the fields cheering for the boys.  Their last game they played at the same time and Jonathan was at a church service project so that meant Mom had the girls in the double stroller and got to run back and forth between two fields so that both boys could be cheered for.  The hill in between the two fields about did me in.  The boys did really great this season.  Trayton is a little less afraid of the ball and LOVED playing defender.  That way he could kick the ball away to a team mate down the field and not have to fight his way through a crowd.  Kade on the other hand was all over that ball.  He scored several times throughout the season and each time he would yell hooray and give me a thumbs up sign.  Haha.  I love my kids.  Thanks for the awesome soccer season boys.
Trayton is wearing the green hat.
For the first time in his life Kade looks focused.

Team Work

Kade was asked to throw away an empty strawberry carton.  So Kade and Jordynn stuck it between their heads and walked it all the way to the trash can.  Good team work guys.
