Hats!

Braelynn wouldn't cooperate and smile sweetly, but look at those adorable hats.  A friend of mine made these for the girls (in several colors too) and I just clipped a flower to them.  So cute.  Jordynn loves them.  She even sleeps with them.  AND I don't have to do Jordynn's hair. Haha.  Thanks Shannon, we LOVE them.

Braelynn

Little Miss Braelynn, oh how I love you.  I've been feeling guilty lately.  I have hundreds of pictures of Trayton.  I documented his every move.  Today I blinked and you grew an inch and I didn't even know where my camera was to take a picture.  But I want you to know that I cherish every moment I spend with you.  I love how you have a crazy giggle.  I love how you are the biggest slobbery goober ever.  I love how you are spastic, constantly shaking your little fists in the air.  I love how you are always leaning and reaching forward so eager to face the world.  You are a delight and I'm glad you are mine.

This is Braelynn's first taste of rice cereal.  She was intrigued by it.

Daddy has introduced all four kids to cereal.  Braelynn still isn't sure how to swallow and makes quite the mess.

Military Appreciation Day!

Once a year Mountain Home has a Military Appreciation Day!  We have a parade (where TONS of candy is thrown to eager kids and exhausted moms), a free lunch in the park, and lots of vendors selling cool stuff.  This year we skipped the free lunch and vendors and just took home tons of candy.  Haha. The kids are in HEAVEN.

Here are my cute girls waiting for the parade to start.  Jordynn was hilarious.  She would jump down and get a piece of candy and then sit down and eat it.  Only at the end of the parade did she realize it would be more productive to gather lots of candy than to eat it one by one.

Trayton and Kade were champion candy catchers.  They had tons of fun and brought home way too much candy.  I decided that I was going to be cheap and divided the candy up.  We ate our favorites and the rest of it is going to be Halloween candy.  Haha.  

Swim Lessons

Trayton and Kade took swim lessons in July.  They LOVED it.  Trayton turned into a little fish. Kade was timid for the first time in his life but had so much fun.  Jordynn was bummed that she wasn't old enough to take lessons so we would go back later in the afternoon and let them all play.  So much fun.

Kade is getting ready to jump off the diving board.  He wanted to jump SOOO BAD.  But when he got to the end he froze.  Jordynn and I stood on the side and cheered for him. Jump Kade, Jump.  Crouched in jumping position with a perma-grin on he yelled back, "I'm trying, but I can't move."  His swim instructor eventually went and gave him a friendly nudge off the edge.  Kade was thrilled to have 'jumped' off the diving board.

Jordynn LOVED the water.  Her first time in the pool she was immediately knocked over twice by bigger kids and I had to jump in with my clothes still on and pull her up.  The water is only 2 feet deep but she couldn't figure out how to keep her feet under her.  After a couple mouthfuls of water I thought she'd be done with swimming but it didn't even phase her.

Trayton loved to play shark and chase all the girls.  His confidence in the water surprised me. He absolutely loved the diving board, even after he belly flopped a few times.  Apparently he thought he was cool and was trying to do flips in the air but only landed on his tummy.
