5:40 Wake up...Go for run (ran my mile in 14 minutes...I'm kind of proud of that accomplishment)
6:30 Breakfast with Jonathan
7:30 Breakfast for kids
9:00 Clean house
10:00 Playgroup (at my house)Joke with friends about having the baby today.
12:00 Clean house again
2:00 Put Jordynn down for nap and start timing contractions...10-20 minutes apart and weak.
4:00 Put Jonathan on stand by
5:00 Jonathan comes home and makes dinner and bathes kids. Contractions are still 10-20 minutes apart and weak. Nothing to worry about. But I call a friend...just in case.
7:00 Decide to go to hospital. Since I have a prior c-section I'm not suppose to labor at home so even though my contractions haven't become stronger or closer together they haven't stopped so I'm convinced I'm in the very early stages of labor.
7:30 Drop kids off. (Thanks Shanna!)
7:40 Head to hospital. Laugh at Jonathan and tell him I hope I'm at a 3 by the time we get to the hospital.
7:45 Haven't even made it to the highway...My water BREAKS! Crap. I'm in trouble. Once my water breaks labor goes FAST! Jonathan heads to the house for a towel and plastic bag to try to save his car. And then we head to the hospital. Did I mention the hospital is an hour away. I called the hospital and informed them I was coming and the baby might be coming FAST.
8:15 Arrive at hospital. (Jonathan drove pretty fast!) Contractions are now coming hard and fast. I'm soaked. Literally dripping water everywhere. Jonathan stuck me in a wheelchair, pushed me into the lobby, and then ran to park the car. The looks I got from passerbys was priceless. One of the men at the information desk asked if he could take me upstairs to get checked in. Ummm, yes please.
8:25 Get checked in and taken to the exam room. I'm at a 7 and baby is coming quick. The nurse begged me not to push and I begged for drugs. Okay, I SCREAMED for drugs. She raced me to the delivery room, paging the anesthesiologist and my doctor as she ran. By now I have lost all control of my sanity and I'm crying and yelling and can feel the baby coming. The anesthesiologist came running to my aide. It was too late for an epidural so he gave me a spinal shot of some miracle drug. A few minutes later I was drugged just enough to catch my breath and my doctor had arrived (Thank goodness he was already near the hospital). By now I was fully dilated and the baby's heart rate kept dropping so it was time to push.
9:20 Braelynn Elle entered the world. The cord was tangled around her neck, hence the drop in heart rate. The Doctor joked that it was the only thing that held her in long enough for him to get there. Compared to my typical 15+ hour labors Braelynn came very fast. I'm still in shock.
Notice I'm still wearing my shirt.

Trayton was so excited to see Braelynn.

Congratulations you guys! She is beautiful as well as the rest of your family! Glad everyone is healthy and home. Why did you guys go to Boise instead of Mountain Home? Just curious. Your story reminded me of Hunter's birth, but MHAFB medics took me to Meridian instead of Boise!
Look @ what happens when I go on vacation for the weekend and don't check my blog, YOU HAD YOUR BABY!! Little Braelynn is too cute for words! I was kind of hoping for her to hold out until the 12th so we could be birthday buddies for life! I absolutely LOVE that you were still in your shirt, you got to opt out of the hospital gown pics! haha!
